The Belvedere
Invest in a hand made Belvedere mattress and it will repay your good judgement, night after night.
Design
Hand teased with loose filling rather than layers giving a deeper more upholstered feel to the mattress.
Filled with Calico pocket springs , 4 rows of hand side stitching allowing the sleeping area right to the edge, 12 air vents for temperature control, Horse tail, Cattletail, Mohair and Cashmere are all hand teased in place, topped with pure Cotton, Wool and Lambswool. Finally the mattress is then tufted to hold all the fillings in place.
This mattress can be made in any shape or size, as can the divan. Available in black and white stripe or cream ticking and as zip and link.
The matching divan features an open coil sprung base, with the option of calico pocket springs if you'd like something firmer. It is topped with horsehair and Cotton/Wool then covered in matching cream or striped ticking, although we can use your own fabric on request. All our divans are fitted with shepherd castors as standard for ease of movement although over options are available.

Cattletail
Horsehair creates an excellent micro-climate, keeping us comfortable in warm and cold conditions.
Horsehair is very resilient by nature and has fantastic ventilating properties, the hollow fibre transports humidity away from the body and ensures a comfortable micro-climate.

Mohair
The distinctive properties of mohair have made it a highly desired fibre through the centuries for both clothing and home furnishings. Its soft luxurious hand and rich lustre combine with great durability for a long lasting product.
Cashmere
Fine de-haired under coat cashmere wool is a truly beautiful fibre which has been used as one of life’s luxuries for thousands of years. The soft fine fibres offer luxurious, comfortable insulation from its lightweight make up which helps create the breathable micro-climate which is so important in many applications.
Lambswool
Lambswool wool has many benefits, it produces a natural fiber very thin, durable and flexible.
Lambswool is also an excellent heat regulator, keeping it warm during the winter and cool in the summer.
Cotton/Wool
Wool.
Wool is 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable. Wool isolates warmth, is healthy, breathable and controls humidity.
It will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Cotton.
Almost pure cellulose, cotton is the world’s most widely used natural fibre. The main reasons for this are it’s softness and breathability.
Cotton absorbs moisture readily which makes cotton comfortable in hot weather.
